Our panel of brewmasters drinks tons of beer each month from 10,000+ U.S. & int'l breweries—yes, we know, tough job. But someone’s gotta do it! Let us help you take the guesswork out of picking the best craft beers for the beer lover on your shopping list.

We Reject. A Lot.

We reject over 80% of the beers we rate. Not because we’re mean - we just have impossibly high standards. Let’s face it, they’re not all awesome. We choose beers based on aroma, body & mouthfeel, finish, and of course, its overall character, flavor and appeal. We’re strict like that.

You Discover. A Lot.

I have to admit that getting a new shipment delivered every month is like Christmas morning 12 times a year. I usually cherish the beer by myself or with my closest friends. I'm selfish when it comes to beer this good. However, I did decide to share my shipment with my Father-in-law! I figured what better way to get on his good side than to share a Belgian Ale from Bavik with him. A trip through Europe in 1992 discovering craft Belgian Ales, English Porters, and Czech Pilsners ultimately sparked a passion that would grow into The Microbrewed Beer of the Month Club™.

For over 30 years now, I've dedicated my life to discovering extraordinary beers and the passionate artisans who create them, and I want to share that with you.
