Unmatched Variety by style, brewery & country
Choose from Five different Beer Clubs offering unmatched variety by brewery,
country of origin, and beer style to suit your specific tastes.
- Style: English Brown Ale
- ABV: 6.3%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 25
- Serving Temperature: 50-55° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass or Mug
- Hops: Cluster, Cascade
- Malts: Briess 2-Row, Caramel, Special Roast, Victory
- Country: United States
Expect a dark reddish amber color on the pour, topped with plenty of pale foam which drops some lace as you drain the glass. We found the aromas fairly complex, with a rich, malty core delivering plenty of bready notes and deep caramel, along with some hints of toffee. There’s a bit of a light juicy impression as well, with hops adding a mélange of spicy, floral, earthy, and woody notes. We got a bit of straw or hay, too. On the palate...
- Style: White IPA
- ABV: 6.1%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 55
- Serving Temperature: 45-50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass, Mug, or Tumbler
- Hops: Nugget, Cascade
- Malts: Pale Malt, Wheat Malt
- Country: United States
This spring seasonal celebrates our emerging from winter’s gloom, and it sure is a bright, expressive way to do it. White IPAs have become a very popular mashup of IPA and Belgian witbier, delivering a ton of flavor from hops, expressive Belgian yeast, and typical witbier additions of coriander and orange peel. This hazy golden brew checks all the boxes. Spicy aromas from both the bright coriander and a light touch of yeasty phenolic notes...
- Style: American Pale Ale
- ABV: 5.36%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): ~60
- Serving Temperature: 45-50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass or Mug
- Hops: Sorachi Ace
- Malts: Briess 2-Row (and a splash of Vienna “for balance”)
- Country: United States
This limited edition is the first of Sand Creek’s new SMaSH series (Single-Malt and Single-Hop), and is a distinct variant of their normal APA. We love single hop brews because they’re so perfect for getting to know the characteristics of a given varietal. This brew features U.S.-grown Sorachi Ace (originally developed in Japan) for both bittering and aroma. Golden-amber with a robust, fluffy, tight-bubbled cap of foam, this brew offers up...
- Style: American Porter with Cacao Nibs
- ABV: 5.9%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 55
- Serving Temperature: 45-50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass or Mug
- Hops: Nugget, Tettnang
- Malts: Pale, Caramel, Chocolate Wheat, Chocolate, Black
- Country: United States
Brewed with real cacao nibs, this 2014 World Beer Cup Gold medal and 2015 US Open Beer Championship Silver medal winner presents very dark, almost black, in the glass, capped by a robust head of rocky foam that laces nicely as it slowly recedes. Mocha aromas jump out right away, bolstered by rich caramel and bready undertones. On the palate, look for the chocolate notes to come forth immediately, but not in the gimmicky, over-the-top way of ...
- Style: Pale Ale
- ABV: 5.6%
- Serving Temperature: 45-50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass or Mug
- Country: Iceland
Amber-copper on the pour, this “Icelandic” pale ale is brewed with a combination of Cascade, perhaps the most quintessentially American hop, and Northern Brewer and Hallertau, which add a more English and Central European vibe. It’s an interesting mix that’s not trying to be an American-style pale ale, nor an English-style pale ale, nor a European-style pale ale or lager, but something reminiscent of them all yet unique unto itself. On the nose...
- Style: Porter
- ABV: 6.0%
- Serving Temperature: 50-55° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass or Mug
- Country: Iceland
This baby pours an extremely dark, densely opaque black capped by some fluffy tan foam. The layer of yeast at the bottom of our bottles implies an unfiltered and/or bottle-conditioned brew. On the nose, expect plenty of dark roast notes with a bit of an ashy, smoky edge, plus toasted bread crust, toffee, hints of dark chocolate, undercurrents of scorched caramel, and a touch of coffee (contributed by a slight addition of actual roasted...
- Style: Belgian-Style Strong Blonde Ale aged in Chardonnay barrels
- ABV: 11.3%
- Serving Temperature: 45–54° F
- Suggested Glassware: Snifter, Tulip, Chalice or Chardonnay Glass
- Country: United States
This is one of the most impressive beers we’ve had in a while. The Belgian-style blonde base pops with all kinds of complexity throughout: honeyed malts, round esters like cotton candy and fruit punch—plus fine-bubbled carbonation and a peppery yeast character that pokes in throughout to keep this beer fully focused. The influence from those French oak barrels that previously held Chardonnay is similarly expressive, manifesting as layered tree...
- Style: Farmhouse Altbier with Smoked Malt
- ABV: 5.6%
- Serving Temperature: 45–52° F
- Suggested Glassware: Tulip, Nonic, Goblet or Pinot Glass
- Country: United States
One of our favorite things about Simple Means is that all its elements—from initial pour to crisp finish, seem perfectly synced. In the glass, it looks like a well-foamed dunkelweizen: all mousse-y, light-brown bubbles filling the top quarter of the glass, lasting basically forever. A nearly opaque, ruby-tinged liquid sits beneath, almost the color of dark tea in some lights. It almost looks (given some artistic license) like a thick plume of...
