- Bottle Size: 12-oz

- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 20
- Serving Temperature: 42-47° F
- Suggested Glassware: Weizen Glass, Pilsner Glass
- Hops: Columbus, Cascade
- Malts: Premium 2-Row, White Wheat, Acidulated
- Country: United States
Pouring a bright golden hue with a robust head of white foam and plenty of the haze we expect from wheat beers, this brew offers up a vibrant aroma that drew us in. Brewed with lemon peel, Whoopty Whoop presents bright lemon notes that merge nicely with some citric hop overtones, underscored by floral-herbal notes from both the hops and the yeast, and a little wispy hint of banana. On the palate, look for the wheaty core to lend a bit of a tangy...
- Bottle Size: 12-oz
- Style: American IPA
- ABV: 6.2%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 55
- Serving Temperature: 47-52° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass or Mug
- Hops: Apollo, Chinook, Experimental #07270, CTZ
- Malts: 2-Row, Munich, White Wheat, Flaked Oats, Black
- Country: United States
This IPA presents a medium amber color in the glass, with crystal clarity and a cap of light beige foam. In the aroma, look for a complex array of herbal-pine notes, mild floral tones, light spice, hints of stone fruit, and a dose of citrus. In the flavor, firm hop bitterness hits upfront and builds across the palate, lingering in the finish with a bold drying note that clings to the tongue. The malts contribute a touch of wheat and mild...
- Bottle Size: 12-oz
- Style: Amber Lager
- ABV: 5.5%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 25
- Serving Temperature: 45-50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pilsner Glass or Wide Flute
- Hops: Mandarina Bavaria
- Malts: Premium 2-Row, Vienna, Munich, Double Roasted Caramel
- Country: United States
Presenting a deep, rich amber hue with great clarity and a cap of beige foam, this amber lager certainly looks the part. In the aroma, look for prominent undertones of caramel and light toasted bread, overlaid by an inviting fruity hop aroma that tends toward citrus, especially mandarin/tangerine, hence the name of the expressive German hop variety Wild Ride has chosen to use: Mandarina Bavaria. On the palate, the moderately rich malt profile...
- Bottle Size: 12-oz
- Style: German-style Hefeweizen
- ABV: 4.8%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 19
- Serving Temperature: 42-47° F
- Suggested Glassware: Weizen Glass, Pilsner Glass
- Hops: Magnum
- Malts: Pilsner, White Wheat
- Country: United States
Se7en pours bright golden in color and capped by a head of off-white foam, plus plenty of haze, as we expect for the style. We like to swirl the last couple ounces of hefeweizen before pouring the last of the beer into our glasses, to rouse the yeast sediment. But, if that's not your thing, just pour carefully to leave the sediment behind – there's no right or wrong way to do it. On the nose, look for a very prominent clove and peppery yeast...
- Bottle Size: 500-ml
- Style: Imperial Stout
- ABV: 7.5%
- Serving Temperature: 50-55° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass or Mug
- Country: Germany
So, the first thing you'll notice is this brew comes in a can, which is nothing new – we've featured cans before; in fact, it's almost impossible not to given the wild and growing popularity of cans in the craft beer space in the US and beyond. What is novel is the large 500-ml size. Frankly, that's just how Eichbaum does it over there in Germany. The Germans certainly like to enjoy their beer in volume, and many German breweries simply...
- Bottle Size: 330-ml
- Style: German Pilsner
- ABV: 5.0%
- Serving Temperature: 43-48° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pilsner Glass
- Country: Turkey
The name Efes has been synonymous with beer in Turkey since their Pilsener hit the scene in 1969. Made with malts produced in Efes’s own malteries, this brew presents a quintessential German-style pilsner appearance in the glass: pure golden in color with nice clarity, capped by a bright white head of foam that drops some lace as it recedes. On the nose, expect a lightly sweet pils malt aroma, while the noble hops offer up a fairly grassy and...
- Bottle Size: 12-oz
- Style: American IPA
- ABV: 6.3%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 65
- Serving Temperature: 45-50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass or Mug
- Hops: Citra, Galaxy, Wakatu, Medusa
- Malts: Premium 2-Row, Honey Malt, Carapils
Pouring a bright golden-copper color and capped by a fluffy head of off-white foam, Electri-Fly drew us in immediately with its impressive aroma. Brewed with New Zealand Wakatu hops and the intriguing Medusa hop variety (which is descended from wild hops from New Mexico and represents a different subspecies, neomexicanus, than the standard lupulus varieties), this IPA delivers big tropical fruit aromas akin to passionfruit, mango...
- Bottle Size: 12-oz
- Style: American IPA
- ABV: 6.7%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 75
- Serving Temperature: 45-50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass or Mug
- Hops: Columbus, Mosaic, Amarillo, Simcoe, Centennial
- Malts: Premium 2-Row, Caramel 60, Carapils, Acidulated
- Country: United States
Bright copper in the glass and capped by a persistent head of foam that laces well as it drops, this bold IPA delivers plenty of big aroma notes. Look for lots of citrus with grapefruit and orange angles, along with pine and a prominent perfumed floral quality. We picked up some soft touches of passion fruit, stone fruit, and earthiness, as well. In the flavor, there's a nice blast of citrus in concert with floral and pine notes. The malt core...
- Bottle Size: 750-ml
- Style: Belgian Ale Bottle-Conditioned w/ Brettanomyces
- ABV: 6.5%
- Serving Temperature: 45–52° F
- Suggested Glassware: Tulip, Chalice, Goblet, or Pinot Glass
- Country: Belgium
This month’s limited release from De La Senne is pretty much exactly what fans of this great Belgian brewery might be hoping for, combining delicious elements of Brettanomyces with that firmly bitter profile this brewery is known for. Only about 60 cases of this beer have made it to the U.S. thus far this year, such that Rare Beer Club members will have an opportunity to check out a De La Senne offering that won’t see much further availability.
- Bottle Size: 750-ml
- Style: Belgian-Style Imperial Stout
- ABV: 11.8%
- Serving Temperature: 45–55° F
- Suggested Glassware: Tulip, Snifter, Small Nonic or Pinot Glass
- Country: United States
This Belgian-style imperial stout is one of our very favorite Weyerbacher beers: an immense, carefully executed beer that satisfies as both a Belgian-style standout (emphasizing its Abbey yeast strain) and a generous display of everything that we’re looking for from a big imperial stout. For fans of Weyerbacher’s highly regarded Double Simcoe IPA and Imperial Pumpkin Ale (the brewery makes an exceptional one), Tiny offers another massively dense...
