Unmatched Variety by style, brewery & country
Choose from Five different Beer Clubs offering unmatched variety by brewery,
country of origin, and beer style to suit your specific tastes.
- Bottle Size: 12-oz
- Style: American IPA
- ABV: 6.0%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 50
- Serving Temperature: 45-50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass or Mug
- Hops: Simcoe, Cascade, Columbus, Chinook, Falconer's Flight
- Malts: Pale Ale, Munich 20, Caramel 40
- Country: United States
Millstream’s year-round IPA pours a rich amber color topped with a head of light khaki foam that laces well as it recedes. Hop aromas are quite fruity, with big citrus notes reminiscent of candied orange and lemon bolstered by piney and floral qualities. It's quite complex, but that's no surprise given the five different hop varieties Millstream uses (more when one considers that Falconer's Flight is itself a blend of several different...
- Bottle Size: 12-oz
- Style: American Amber Ale
- ABV: 5.7%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 35
- Serving Temperature: 45-50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass or Mug
- Hops: Cascade, Simcoe, Citra
- Malts: 2-Row Pale, Weyermann Special W, Simpson DRC, Briess Roasted
- Country: United States
Amber ales make an excellent easy-drinking and food-friendly brew for almost any time of the year, so Harpoon was kind enough to brew us a batch of Flannel Friday for us this month despite it normally being a fall seasonal release. It's a relatively new addition to their portfolio, and we're happy to have a chance to share it with our members. Pouring a deep amber with reddish highlights and a persistent head of foam, Flannel Friday presents...
- Bottle Size: 12-oz
- Style: Bock
- ABV: 6.6%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 23
- Serving Temperature: 47-52° F
- Suggested Glassware: Flute, Pilsner Glass
- Hops: Simcoe, Mt. Hood
- Malts: Brewers Malt, Ashburne, Chocolate Malt, Caramel 120 & 80
- Country: United States
With their Schokolade Bock, Millstream set out to create a true-to-style bock, and they sure have succeeded. A holiday seasonal, it's normally available only from November to January, but Millstream was kind enough to brew us up a batch for this month's shipment and we're very grateful to have the opportunity to enjoy this classic brew with our members. Schokolade Bock pours a deep brown color – quite dark even for a bock – and is capped...
- Bottle Size: 12-oz
- Style: American Pale Ale
- ABV: 6.2%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 38
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass or Pilsner Glass
- Hops: Centennial
- Malts: 2-Row Pale, Wheat Malt, Briess Carapils
- Country: United States
This spring seasonal from Harpoon pours a crystal clear golden color with a nearly white cap of foam that laces nicely as it drops. This single-hop brew is a love letter to Centennial, a hop that has contributed greatly to America's beer renaissance. On the nose, look for lightly floral notes backed up by pine and hints of citrus tending toward lemon and subtle orange. On the palate, the clean but sturdy pale malt backbone offers plenty of...
- Bottle Size: 12-oz
- Style: Session IPA
- ABV: 4.3%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 43
- Serving Temperature: 45-50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pint Glass or Mug
- Hops: Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial, Mosaic
- Malts: 2-Row Pale, Weyermann Vienna, Briess Carapils, Briess Caramel 40
- Country: United States
Pouring a bright golden hue with crystal clarity and a lasting head of tight-bubbled foam, this session IPA offers up a bold aroma profile that really drew us in. Wonderfully lush American hop aromas deliver a little bit of everything: tropical fruits, soft floral tones, various citrus notes, apricot, a little earth, a little grass, a little melon... That melon note really opened up for us in the flavor along with plenty of citrus, all...
- Bottle Size: 12-oz
- Style: Double IPA
- ABV: 10%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 80
- Serving Temperature: 47-52° F
- Suggested Glassware: Tulip or Snifter
- Hops: Chinook, Amarillo, Apollo, Cascade, Centennial
- Malts: 2-Row Pale, Briess Caramel 120
- Country: United States
Pouring a medium amber with a fluffy head of light beige foam, Leviathan looks good in the glass, but on looks alone there's not much to hint at the power this brew wields. Take a sniff and things begin to come into focus. Densely packed aromas of candied citrus evoke grapefruit, orange, and even a bit of lemon-lime, while a sturdy baseline note of caramel props it all up nicely. Flavor-wise, it's intense as soon as it hits the palate.
- Bottle Size: 12-oz
- Style: Amber Lager
- ABV: 5.3%
- Serving Temperature: 40-45° F
- Suggested Glassware: Pilsner Glass or Flute
- Hops: Cascade
- Country: Germany
Old Fred is brewed in tribute to Frederick Müller, a German native who studied and practiced brewing in Sigmaringen before immigrating to America, adopting the name "Miller", and founding Miller Brewing Company in Milwaukee in 1855. Check out the neck label for more info. This type of amber lager is very much the sort of beer commonly brewed in the early 19th century before Pilsner had fully conquered the world, and we're happy to be able...
- Bottle Size: 12-oz
- Style: Zoiglbier
- ABV: 4.8%
- Serving Temperature: 40-45° F
- Suggested Glassware: Stange, Pilsner Glass, Mug
- Country: Germany
Zoiglbier is closely related to the fellow Bavarian lager styles of Kellerbier and Zwickelbier. It’s a specialty of the Oberpfalz region, with a history which goes way, way back. The term “zoigl” is derived from the word for “sign” in the local dialect, and it refers to a six-pointed star formed from interlocking triangles (much like a Star of David) which symbolizes the trio of beer ingredients, barley, hops, and water, as well as the trio...
- Bottle Size: 750-ml
- Style: Bourbon-Barrel-Aged Belgian-Style Dubbel
- ABV: 10%
- Serving Temperature: 48–55° F
- Suggested Glassware: Chalice, Tulip, Goblet, Snifter or Pinot Glass
- Country: United States
This Belgian-style dubbel aged in bourbon barrels is one of the most expressive and unique beers we’ve sampled in a while. The Livery in Benton Harbor, Michigan makes some world-class strong beers, including their Wheat Trippelbock, and this is one of the very, very few of the beers we’ve sampled over the years to approach that flavor turf—this is velvety and lush terrain, courtesy of some serious legwork and ingredients. The malt bill includes...
- Bottle Size: 750-ml
- Style: Foudre-Aged Saison
- ABV: 7%
- Serving Temperature: 46–53° F
- Suggested Glassware: Tulip, Goblet or Nonic Glass
- Country: United States
We don’t come across too many foudre-aged saisons, though we certainly try to. Funkwerks has taken their award-winning flagship Saison and allowed that delightful core beer to do its aging thing in Funkwerks’ 800-gallon oak foudre. As the label notes, “AGED IN A HUGE OAK BARREL.” We wanted to give our members the chance to try a beer aged in a foudre (which is the French spelling, also written as “foeder”, which is Dutch), a tradition of larger...
