This big brew from Shmaltz pours an attractive golden hue with good clarity and a robust head of white foam that retains well and laces nicely as it slowly recedes to a collar. On the nose, expect a very bright and bold hop aroma bursting with piney and floral notes with some candied citrus and hints of stone fruit and pineapple. The theme continues on the palate where the hops come through dank and resinous with juicy citrus and tropical...

This tasty stout presents an opaque black color capped by a rich brown head of fluffy foam. Brewed with locally-roasted coffee beans, it's no surprise this "espresso stout" boasts a bold coffee aroma. Look also for complementary notes of chocolate and a touch of smoky char, along with a wisp of floral hops. The coffee contribution comes through prominently on the palate too, and we were pleased that the intensity level—though bold—leaves...

This brown ale pours an attractive deep brown color, capped by a crop of light brown foam that leaves a bit of lace as you drink. While there’s a light nuttiness on the nose, look for more prominent notes of brown bread, toasty grain, and a hint of sweet chocolate, with the hops leaning toward earthy with a bit of herbal spice. On the palate, we found toasted bread and bread crust to be at the center of the very satisfying malt core, along...
- Bottle Size: 12-oz

- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 31.7
- Serving Temperature: 45-50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Tulip, Snifter, Goblet
- Hops: Saaz, Hallertau
- Malts: Vienna, Wheat, Pale
- Country: United States
Pouring a bright golden-copper color capped by a light beige cap of foam, this World Beer Cup Gold medal winning Belgian-style tripel opens up with quite a bold aroma. The first thing we noticed is the prominent Belgian yeast character with its phenolic, spicy, herbal, clove-like notes and a bit of banana ester, which merge nicely into the spicy and grassy noble hops. A light caramel underpinning is joined by some notes of stone fruit...

Created in celebration of International Women's Collaboration Brew Day (every March 8th), She'Brew is normally a spring seasonal beer, but we're thankful to have been able to work with Shmaltz to bring you this super fresh batch of hoppy delight this month. Pouring a golden color with a fluffy head that retains and laces nicely, She'Brew offers up quite an inviting aroma profile. Look for an undercurrent of caramelized malts along with a big...

- ABV: 8.0%
- Int’l Bittering Units (IBUs): 90
- Serving Temperature: 48-53° F
- Suggested Glassware: Tulip, Snifter, Pint Glass

- Malts: Pale, Munich, Chocolate
- Country: United States
This Double IPA from the Dominion line of beers presents nicely in the glass with a bright copper hue boasting crystal clarity and a robust head of foam which descends to a persistent ring, leaving behind a good deal of sticky lace. The multiple hop varieties contribute plenty of aromatic fireworks; look for a distinct grapefruit-like citrus character, some herbal, pine-like notes, and a ton of soft tropical fruit character suggesting...
- Bottle Size: 330-ml
- Style: White IPA
- ABV: 6.4%
- Serving Temperature: 45-50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Tulip or Pint Glass
- Hops: Nelson Sauvin, Citra
- Malts: Pale Wheat, Vienna
- Country: New Zealand
Southern Alps pours a golden-copper color with a long-lasting head of tight-bubbled foam. There's a yeasty haze present, as we expect from a White IPA. Feel free to stir up any yeast at the bottom of this bottle-conditioned beer and pour into your glass. White IPAs have become a very popular mash-up of IPA and Belgian Witbier, with the hoppy IPA character merging quite nicely into the spicy, coriander-infused flavor profile of a yeasty Wit.
- Bottle Size: 330-ml
- Style: Fruited Lambic
- ABV: 4.0%
- Serving Temperature: 45-50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Tulip, Flute, Snifter
- Country: Belgium
Meaning "raspberry" in French, framboise (pronounced "frahm-bwahz") is one of the most traditional and commonly-made fruit lambics, along with kriek (cherry) and pêche (peach). Not surprisingly, Timmermans' Framboise Lambicus pours quite red with a robust, fluffy head of foam sporting a hint of pink. On the nose, look for that raspberry character to be immediately apparent, with perhaps some other berry-like impressions such as a touch of...
- Bottle Size: 750-ml
- Style: Oak-Aged Sour Ale w/ Cherries, Raspberries, and Cranberries
- ABV: 7%
- Serving Temperature: 43–50° F
- Suggested Glassware: Tulip, Teku, Flute, or Pinot Glass
- Country: Belgium
We would take this over fresh Burgundy. While there are certainly exceptions to the rule that the land of fruit beer tends to be ruled by the sour, bright acidity really does work beautifully alongside fresh-fruit notes. We are much more likely to be sated by a sour peach beer than a peach beer. And, exceptions aside, we were just floored by how well the vibrant sourness here supports a huge abundance of juicy red fruits.
- Bottle Size: 750-ml
- Style: Gotlandsdricka w/ birch-smoked malt
- ABV: 5.5%
- Serving Temperature: 48–55° F
- Suggested Glassware: Nonic, Tulip, Teku, or Trusty Drinking Horn
- Country: United States
Let’s get a sense of what we’re digging into with this one. Gotlandsdricka is the indigenous beer of Gotland, Sweden’s largest island, located in the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Latvia. Similar in many respects to Finland’s native brew, sahti, this is a type of beer that typically relies on juniper—both berries and twigs—and is typically made in the home or farmhouse according to traditional recipes. The name means “drink of Gotland” or...
